The City Council of Torrejón de Ardoz has opened the registration period for the 9th National Painting Contest, an initiative aimed at promoting artistic talent until September 2nd.

The call is open to creators over 18 years of age, both Spanish nationals and foreigners residing in Spain. Participants have complete freedom regarding the technique, style, and theme of the pieces submitted to the competition.
A specialized jury will evaluate the proposals based on criteria such as composition, technical quality, innovation, and originality. The contest features a single prize of 3,000 euros for the work selected as the best in the competition.
The registration process is managed electronically through the digital platform enabled for this purpose. The jury's decision will be announced on October 17th, the date on which an exhibition featuring the selected works will also open at the Casa de Cultura, located on Londres Street.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until November 8th. Subsequently, the City Council will enable a virtual version of the exhibition through its official website to facilitate access for citizens.
