The San Fernando de Henares City Council organizes a new edition of 'Patas al Agua', an open day for pets to enjoy the municipal pool next September 7th.

Next Monday, September 7th, dogs will have the opportunity to enjoy the summer pool in San Fernando de Henares at the 'Patas al Agua' event. Access to this open day, which will take place from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM, is free.
The mayor, Javier Corpa, highlighted the positive reception of this activity, which is repeated annually to encourage animals to enjoy themselves with their owners. "We are saying goodbye to the season with this initiative, which is very well received by the residents and which we repeat every year, aimed at enjoying a day with animals," he explained.
The facilities of the aquatic complex have been renovated after the floods of March 2025, including a new sunshade area, improvements to the drainage system, replacement of pavement and foot baths, a book lending service, and a safety wall. Since its opening in June, nearly 35,000 bathers have visited the facilities.
To participate in 'Patas al Agua', owners must bring their dog's health record, identification chip, be up-to-date with vaccinations and deworming, as well as follow staff instructions and clean up excrement.

"From the government team, we have worked conscientiously to offer completely renovated facilities after the difficult times we experienced with the floods of March 2025."
