“"The rear wall of the industrial complex reaches barely one meter from the riverbank. In our opinion, this could constitute an invasion of the livestock trail and does not guarantee the mandatory accessibility by right of way in the Public Hydraulic Domain (5 meters)."

A citizen group has expressed concern regarding the potential repercussions of urban development on the Espinillos estate, located in Torrejón de Ardoz, affecting the Colada de Lavapellejos livestock trail adjacent to the Henares River.
The Espinillos estate, owned by the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council and situated within the municipal area of Alcalá de Henares, may undergo urban planning. Although labeled as a "green zone," there is apprehension that it could become an urbanized park, losing its natural and heritage values.
The Colada de Lavapellejos, one of the municipality's livestock trails, is considered of great strategic value. It runs alongside the Henares River from Adriano Square to the mouth of the Torote River, offering potential for safe pedestrian and cyclist transit.
However, the preservation and accessibility of this trail are compromised by various factors. One point of concern is the logistical installation of a company on the former IBELSA grounds, inaugurated in 2016. The rear wall of this industrial complex is just a few meters from the riverbank.
Given this situation, the group has filed a written complaint with the Local Police of Alcalá and an oral complaint with SEPRONA. They also plan to report the issue to Vías Pecuarias of the Community of Madrid and the Tagus Hydrographic Confederation, hoping to find a resolution.
