A worker, approximately 58 years old, lost his life this Friday after being crushed by the shovel of a crane while working on a housing construction project in Alcalá de Henares.

The incident took place around 9:25 AM on Francisco Antón street. Medical personnel from Summa 112 were dispatched to the scene to attend to the victim.

Upon arrival, emergency services could only confirm the worker's death.

The National Police has taken charge of the investigation to clarify the exact circumstances of this tragic event.
