The season, taking place at the Coslada Municipal Theater (TMC), proposes a dialogue between generations and artistic languages, addressing universal themes such as identity, human relationships, and adaptation to a constantly changing world. The program includes large-scale productions and contemporary creations, with titles like Annie, Jekyll & Hyde, Madama Butterfly, The Threepenny Opera, Mihura, the last playwright, Thermal Sensation, The Truth, The Infinite Passion, Dysphoria, Burladas, and Collapse, alongside dance and music performances.
A notable feature of the season is the gender parity in the direction of the shows, with over half of the proposals directed by women, enriching the program with diverse perspectives and sensibilities. Among the directors are Silvia Villaú, Beatriz Jaén, Ana Contreras, Lorena Fernández, Vanessa Espín, Esther Berzal, María Goiricelaya, and María Cárdenas.
The Coslada Municipal Theater also reinforces its commitment to accessibility, implementing specific measures for five shows: Mihura, the last playwright, Burladas, Dysphoria, The Truth, and Dancing Silence. These performances will feature adapted subtitling, audio description, individual magnetic loops, and headphone sound, aiming to remove barriers for individuals with sensory disabilities and the elderly.
The season will kick off in late September with the musicals Jekyll & Hyde (September 24 and 26) and Annie, the musical (September 25, 26, and 27). October will mark the celebration of Larumbe Danza's 30th anniversary (October 2), the biographical comedy Mihura, the last playwright (October 3), and family-friendly shows like SUM by Baychimo Teatro (October 4) and Tá by Escena Miriñaque (October 18). Music will be featured with Aromas de soledad (October 10) and Madama Butterfly by Camerata Lírica (October 17).
November will focus on socially relevant productions, including Timon of Athens (November 8), Thermal Sensation (November 14) addressing abusive relationships, and Ragnarök, heroes and monsters (November 15), a family-friendly eco-social theater piece. In commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Burladas will be performed (November 21), giving voice to historical and contemporary female characters. The month will conclude with The Threepenny Opera (November 28).
December will present Collapse. Being young facing the limits of growth (December 4), community theater featuring young people from Coslada; Dysphoria (December 12); Dancing Silence (December 19); and The Truth (December 26), directed by Juan Carlos Fisher and starring, among others, Joaquín Reyes. The family play Where is Alicia? (December 20) will explore children's relationship with digital devices.
The Councilor Delegate for Culture, Emi Escudero, highlighted that the season consolidates the Coslada Municipal Theater as a space for intergenerational encounters and artistic dialogue. The program aims to foster recognition, emotion, and new perspectives on reality.
Beyond exhibition, the Coslada Municipal Theater actively promotes citizen participation through its 'Unmissable Spectators' Club, organizing meetings and workshops. The play SUM was programmed by the club itself. Furthermore, there is a strong commitment to community theater with the show Collapse, which features young people from Coslada in its cast.
