The Coslada City Council concluded the 2026 European Mobility Week today with an institutional event at the Plaza Mayor, where a manifesto for sustainable mobility was read.

The activities, which began on September 16, focused on promoting active, inclusive, and environmentally friendly travel habits. Throughout the week, the program was primarily aimed at the local school population.
The final document was read by students from the CEIP Antoni Tapiès. The text highlights the importance of transforming urban streets into spaces for play and coexistence, while emphasizing the need to ensure safe environments for people with disabilities.
The institutional manifesto defines mobility as a fundamental tool for equality and social cohesion. Furthermore, the text invites citizens to explore transport alternatives that improve personal well-being and strengthen the sense of community in the city.
The local government reiterated that the goal of these events is not to eliminate the use of private vehicles, but to offer more responsible and sustainable options, such as cycling or public transport, to facilitate easier mobility for all residents.
