The festive agenda offers a wide variety of proposals aimed at all audiences, including children's parks, traditional games, 'tragaldabas' (a type of game), family workshops, magic shows, storytelling, water games, and foam parties. Additionally, guided tours will be organized to showcase the city's historical and cultural heritage.
The inaugural events on August 4th include the opening of the painting and sculpture exhibition Pincel y Cincel, a lecture by the official chronicler of the city, Vicente Sánchez Moltó, and the celebration of Holy Mass. The following day, August 5th, the opening speech will be delivered by Gema García Merino, president of the Brotherhood of Our Lady the Virgin of Val. The day will also feature the traditional floral offering to the Patron Saints and a concert by Chanzo.
Music will be a highlight throughout the week with an increased number of concerts compared to previous editions. Local artists such as Chanzo, Naif Band, and Luis de Diego with his show Poprumbeando will perform, along with the bands Metrolé, Metropop, the orchestra Stigma, and the orchestra Marlen. Local DJs will close the festive nights in the Plaza de Cervantes.
The program maintains traditional and highly anticipated events, such as the transfer of the relics of the Holy Children, the solemn mass, and the procession on August 6th, presided over by the Complutense bishop Antonio Prieto. The parade of the Giants' Troupe, the XLIV Santos Niños Swimming Trophy, and a chess tournament will also take place. Various solidarity activities are included, such as charitable distributions of 'migas' (a traditional dish) and paella in support of the San Diego Scholarship.
