Recently, various actions have been taken on streets such as Venezuela, Honduras, and Océano Pacífico. On Venezuela street, construction material remnants used to reserve a parking space without authorization were found, leading to a fine for the responsible parties. On Honduras street, a fine was also issued after identifying the person responsible for depositing waste.
On September 28th, it was reported that furniture and belongings had been abandoned in the ecological island on Océano Pacífico street. Thanks to citizen collaboration and gathered evidence, an administrative file was opened against the responsible party, and the items were removed.
In another operation on Coberteras street, near the Municipal Waste Collection Point, numerous refrigeration units and other waste from a business activity were detected. Prompt police intervention, along with the Environment Department, led to the identification of the responsible company, which immediately proceeded to remove all dumped items.
The Local Police reminds the public that abandoning waste in public areas without authorization can result in fines of up to 600 euros, according to the Municipal Ordinance for Environmental Protection. For more serious offenses, the Law 1/2024 on Circular Economy of the Community of Madrid will apply, with fines up to 5,000 euros.
Surveillance will be reinforced in various parts of the municipality to combat these behaviors and maintain a clean urban environment. Citizen collaboration is crucial for identifying those responsible and enabling the adoption of appropriate administrative measures.
